Trip Leader & Program Specialist
Adamah Adventures seeks a Trip Leader & Program Specialist who is charismatic, energetic, engaging, creative, and dynamic. This person will be responsible for co-leading the adventure trek and for implementing the programmatic, educational, and Jewish vision of Adamah Adventures.
Minimum Qualifications*:
- Minimum 2 years experience in programming or leadership positions.
- Experience in programming for youth programs and/or camps.
- Expertise in the development and execution of innovative Jewish programming.
- Comfort leading and teaching about prayers. Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to lead, manage, supervise, and inspire campers.
- Ability to plan, organize, and carry out daily and special programs.
- CPR & Wilderness first aid certifications.
- Passionate commitment to Jewish teen experiential education.
- Ability to work as a team with a co-trek leader.
Responsibilities:
- Camper and staff well-being.
- Act as support, mentor, and guide for campers.
- Educational and Judaic programming
(including t’fillah, Shabbat, Havdallah, and daily or holiday programs). - Day-to-day logistics/schedules, activities, and programs.
- Camper intervention – handle behavioral and disciplinary issues.
- Ensure that all program supplies are ready for each trek.
- Work with the Adamah Program Director to make sure that all activities are well-planned, executed and evaluated.
- Ensure that all programs and t’fillot are done on the campers’ level in a way that inspires, challenges, and makes them think.
- Evaluate all programs and curriculum at the end of each session and make recommendations to the Director for future seasons.
- Maintain communication with camp Program Director and contact Program Director when problems arise related to camper needs.
- Work with campers and staff to develop morning and evening rituals.
