Learning to fly...without any wings...
We may not have had wings, but we did have ropes (and helmets and harnesses, for those moms out there...)
Bobbee and I explored west Georgia this week, checking out a small base camp to use for Summer 2010, and a possible activity for our Blue Ridge Mountain trek.
West Georgia is home to one of just a handful of canopy tours in the US. A canopy tour is basically a network of ziplines and bridges that lead from treetop to treetop.
We also took a look at a Group Lodge at John Tanner State Park. The park itself is pretty small, but does boast the largest sand beach of any state park in Georgia. The lodge will be perfect if we have around 30 campers for our first summer. Any more than that, we'll have to upgrade to one of the group camps we've looked at previously.
