Getting the word out

The past few weeks, we've been focusing on marketing. For a number of reasons, we will be changing our name and logo, and are working with a marketing firm to begin that process. (If you have any great name ideas, let us know!!) It's a bit overwhelming to think about all the factors that go into creating a name, a message, and a brand identity. We want to sound Jewish, but not too Jewish...we want to attract people who like summer camp, but also those who don't...we want to attract kids that love to rock climb, but also those that are intimidated by it.

We had an opportunity last week to host a table at an Entrepreneur's Night, sponsored by the Atlanta chapter of the American Jewish Committee. It was a great chance to practice giving our pitch, and seeing people's reactions. We also made a couple of good contacts in the Jewish business community.

We're also getting geared up for our next Incubator workshop. This one will be held in conjunction with the ACA Tri-State Conference, probably the largest gathering of camp professionals in the world. We'll be posting some more of the materials that we're preparing for the Incubator workshop in the next week.
